Let your imagination take flight during this year’s Knysna Literary Festival. Ling Dobson from Pam Golding Properties Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, and Founder of the Knysna Literary Festival, has released the line-up for this year’s festival, taking place from 16th – 19th March, 2017. The schedule reveals a diverse selection of critically acclaimed, award-winning authors who are set to descend on the Knysna seaside town for the festival’s 8th consecutive year.
Now in its eighth year, the festival has grown considerably, with bigger names signing up and more visitors attending year on year. Artistic Director Sasha Campbell said: “We are sure that this year’s festival will have something for everyone. The line-up is so diverse, and we are delighted that so many first class names will once again be joining us on the coast in beautiful Knysna.”
“Every year we’re conscious it will be difficult to top the last festival, but with the 2017 line-up, we are confident we have the perfect combination of events to pull off yet another great festival.”
Ling Dobson, Festival Founder, said; “We enter our eighth year with a strong and wide-ranging guest list. Every year there seems to be a growth of even more festivals. Foresight and good networking is essential to secure the best writers. We focus on a compact but ambitious programme and have established ourselves among the more elite festivals. We want to remain there, distinguished by our dedication to education.”
“The Festival’s main focus is to showcase select South African literary talent,” explains Dobson. “However, my main objective is to encourage children to read and write and awaken their creative ability to tell their own stories.”
Tickets for the Knysna Literary Festival will be available from 1 February, 2017 from the Pam Golding Property Office at 5 Grey Street, Knysna and with Webtickets – with the exception of the Delicious Word Journey and Look ‘n Cook. For more information visit www.knysnaliteraryfestival.co.za.
